Press Release:  Sault Tribe Traditional Medicine Program Announces Cancelation of Fall Fasting Ceremonies

 

Keith Smith, Traditional Practitioner, for the Sault Tribe of Chippewa Indians’ Health Division made an announcement that due to personal circumstances he will be unable to hold Fall Fasting Ceremonies for Sault Tribe this year. 

 

If you or anyone that you know were planning on attending please notify them of this change of events.  The Traditional Medicine Program will continue on with the Spring Fasting Ceremonies in April / May of 2019.  If you have any questions regarding this change please contact the Traditional Medicine Program at 906-632-5200.

If you are interested in learning and finding out more about fasting and other Traditional Ceremonies the Sault Tribe Traditional Medicine Program would be very happy to assist you.  Please be on the lookout for our Winter In-Services we will be providing to the community.
