Ultrasound

Diagnostic Ultrasound (U/S) Services

Diagnostic ultrasound is available at the Sault Tribe Health Center (STHC) in Sault Ste. Marie on a limited schedule – between two to three days each week.  The following U/S testing is available:

  • Abdomen
  • Breast
  • Vascular studies (e.g., renal, carotids, legs but NOT cardiac)
  • Pelvis or OB
  • Thyroid
  • Prostate or Testicles

U/S appointments are required and can be made by calling STHC scheduling at 906-632-5230.  Referrals from all Tribal health centers and local area providers are accepted.  Acute or urgent U/S services can be ordered by your primary care provider at STHC if available or at the nearest medical facility.  Please remember to call Purchase Referred Care (PRC) for a voucher if obtained outside STHC facility.
