Better outcomes are typically experienced when problems are dealt with early on. When someone experiences any of the following it is appropriate to request our services:

  • An unanticipated crisis (e.g., death of a loved one, removal of a child, separation/divorce, sexual assault, etc.)
  • A substance use, emotional, behavioral, or psychological problem that has not been well managed with one's own resources
  • After an arrest or release from incarceration
  • After release from psychiatric hospitalization or residential substance use treatment
  • Family reunification; struggles with blended families
  • Any problems that are causing impairment in a person's ability to attain or maintain adequate functioning in family, social, occupational, or educational settings
  • After a referral from a professional (e.g., physician, psychologist, psychiatrist, case managers, probation/parole officers, social workers)
